How we handle your data on this website

This policy explains how personal data submitted through this website, in particular the contact form, is processed. The ARGOS AlertControl mobile app has its own privacy policy, available in the app.

2. What we collect
When you submit the contact form, we collect:
- Data you enter: name, work email, organization, organization type, your message and, if you choose to provide it, the approximate building size or number of people.
- Technical data: the time of submission, your browser's user-agent string, and a pseudonymised form of your IP address (a keyed cryptographic hash). We do not store the IP address itself.
Simply browsing the website does not store any personal data in our application. Our web server may keep standard access logs (IP address, time, requested page) for security and troubleshooting.
3. Why we process it, and on what legal basis
- Responding to your message. Where your message concerns our products or a potential contract, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR (steps taken at your request prior to entering into a contract). For other inquiries, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in answering messages sent to us).
- Protecting the form against abuse and spam. We use the pseudonymised IP address to limit the number of submissions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR (our legitimate interest in keeping the service secure).
Providing your data is voluntary, but without it we cannot respond to your message. We do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not send you marketing without your separate consent.
4. Who receives it
Your message is delivered by email to our team. To run this website we use a hosting provider and an email delivery provider. They process data only on our behalf and under a data processing agreement. We do not sell or share your data with anyone else, except where required by law. If a provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, we do so only with appropriate safeguards under Article 46 GDPR.
5. How long we keep it
- Contact form messages: 24 months from submission, then deleted automatically. If the message leads to a business relationship, related correspondence is kept for as long as that relationship requires.
- Pseudonymised IP records used for abuse protection: 24 hours.
6. Cookies and third parties
This website sets no cookies of its own and uses no analytics or tracking. Fonts are served from our own server.
The one exception is the contact form, which is protected against spam by Cloudflare Turnstile, provided by Cloudflare, Inc. When the homepage loads, your browser fetches the Turnstile script from Cloudflare. Once you start filling in the form, Turnstile runs a short check in your browser. To do this, Cloudflare processes your IP address and technical information about your browser and device. This is used only to tell people from automated bots, not for advertising or tracking across sites. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in keeping the form free of abuse (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Cloudflare may process this data outside the European Economic Area under the EU Standard Contractual Clauses. See Cloudflare's Turnstile privacy addendum.
7. Your rights
You have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict its processing, to object to processing based on legitimate interest, and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected].

8. Changes
We may update this policy when the website or the law changes. The current version is always published on this page, with its effective date at the top.
